My favourite shot

I love this moment. Just kids, free for a weekend to be silly and ridiculous and probably a little reckless and live to tell the tale. 

I actually don’t know most of the people in this one, a classic group of ‘randoms’ we ended up living this moment with as you do when you’re young, but — the energy! This photo resurfaced last year as my friends and I (that’s Gemma in the front there, somewhere in her early 20’s) all marked a milestone birthday (not to give it away, but a far cry from our early 20’s now) and I feel like I needed the reminder of how simple and joyful life can be. 

I guess this is why we cling to the music of our youth. Nostalgia, whatever.
